AGES 7-18

MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, 9AM TO 3PM

There is no experience required to participate in Camp.

HERE ARE SOME OF THE AWESOME ACTIVITIES WE HAVE LINED UP FOR OUR CAMPERS:

  • Team building exercises, games and trivia contests to learn about fellow "bandmate" campers and our camp directors.
  • Sectionals by instrument cover the fundamentals of playing music in a band setting!
  • Workshops or Master Classes on various topics such as note values, Blues improv, stagecraft, etc.
  • Stage presence exercises
  • The end of camp culminates in a live performance!

HERE IS WHAT A TYPICAL DAY OF CAMP LOOKS LIKE:

Depending on the total number of kids, we will be splitting into "bands" of 6, and each group will learn between 3 to 5 songs in just a week, depending on how much they can handle as a band. At the end of the week, the kids will perform a live rock concert for their friends and family! We will do our best to gauge what the kids like most and what will help each of them progress the most as musicians.

DROP OFF FOR CAMP IS 9AM

PICK UP IS PROMPTLY AT 3PM

SHOW TIME ON FRIDAY IS AT 1PM

RAMP UP TO CAMP

Is your student new to their instrument? Or maybe they just need to brush up and take a few private lessons prior to camp? Contact us today to learn more about our regular, year-round programs here at School of Rock!

STUDENTS WILL NEED TO BRING THEIR OWN INSTRUMENTS, MICROPHONES, PICKS, DRUMSTICKS AND EAR PROTECTION.

  • Guitarists and Bassists must bring their own instruments, picks + 1/4" cables.
  • Drummers must bring their own drum sticks, NO kit! We have drum sticks available for purchase at the front desk, if needed.
  • Keyboardists DO NOT need to bring their keyboards. These, and any shared surfaces, will be sanitized by staff prior to and after camp.
  • Vocalists are required to bring their own microphone to camp. We have microphones available for purchase at the school. Inexpensive microphones can also be found at a number of online retailers. If you purchase on your own please make sure they have an XLR connection. We can help you make the right selection for your student.

STUDENTS MUST BRING HEARING PROTECTION (EARPLUGS OR ISOLATION HEADPHONES)!

  • Rock N Roll gets LOUD and we want to make sure their ears are protected!
  • We have Isolation Headphones + single-use earplugs available for sale at the front desk.

PLEASE BE SURE TO SEND YOUR KIDS WITH A NUT-FREE LUNCH + THEIR OWN WATER BOTTLES (LABELED WITH THEIR NAME)!

  • Food is not provided - please send your kids with a NUT-FREE lunch and snacks.
  • Students may not leave the premises at ANY time.
  • If any of your kids have food allergies, please let us know.

ALL CAMPERS MUST:

  • Take their temperature using our contact-free thermal readers. If a student's temperature reads 100.4°F or above, they will be sent home, which will result in forfeiting the day of camp.
  • Wash/sanitize hands upon arrival and frequently throughout the day;
  • Only be at the school for their scheduled camp time

IMPORTANT:

  • We love our parents, siblings and family members, but please understand that we can only allow students and staff in the school at this time. We request that parents and all other non-students and non-staff remain outside of the school for the duration of your student's camp day and call us at 626-508-1818 or email us at pasadena@schoolofrock.com if you have any questions.
  • All students must wait in the car with their parent/guardian until their camp start time at which time they may enter the building, and students must be picked up at the end of their camp day as they can not wait inside the building for someone to pick them up. This is all for the health and safety of the students and staff.
  • We will be monitoring the entry doors to check that parents and all other non-students and non-staff adhere to the above policy.
  • Please help us by explaining to your student(s) that wearing a clean mask, frequently washing/sanitizing their hands, and social distancing (at least 3ft whenever possible) is encouraged
