Classic Rock Rewind Full Day Camp

$450Purchase required to enroll

Campers will learn the music of 60s and 70s rock icons such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones in our Classic Rock Rewind summer camp. In addition to songs, students will learn about rock history and the stagecraft needed to perform on a stage. At the end of the week, students will put on a live performance. Great for students 7-18 years of age who have had some previous instruction.

Perfect for all levels of musicians who are between the ages of 9 and 17. From absolute beginners to those with experience- campers will rehearse, together with their band mates, in preparation for a performance in just five days.

Camp runs Monday through Friday. Drop off is 9am and pick up is 3pm each day.

Food is not provided by the school but we do have a refrigerator and microwave in our kitchen that are available for the campers to utilize. Campers should arrive each day with enough lunch, snacks and drinks to last each day. We want this to be their home away from home! Besides, rockin' out takes a lot of energy.

Students will have the opportunity to jam on drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals throughout the week with their bandmates.
Drummers should bring their own sticks to camp. If your child has their own guitar or bass, they are welcome to bring them to use at camp, along with their own cables (please make sure their names are marked on any personal items). We have instruments they can borrow while attending camp should they wish not to bring their own.

Earplugs are necessary. We offer them for 25 cents a pair and encourage campers to wear them at all times during rehearsal.

The course of the week begins with getting to know their bandmates and their camp directors to learn everyone's interests and favorite music. Next the group will begin choosing songs to begin learning during the week. Songs will be added over the course of the week as the group is ready. We want to set them up for success and let them set the pace of building the set with the director's guidance.

Our directors will guide the process by teaching how to learn songs as a group in a supportive environment that is rich in support.

The days are spent jamming with breaks for snacks sprinkled in. During the week, they will have organized a set of songs to perform on our backyard stage for you and anyone you wish to bring! All are welcome!

The show is 2:30 on Friday, the last day of camp!
